How did folks find the practice route? I mean, the fellow mortals, not Alec! I haven't got time to come on the practice runs and I'm getting a little intimidated by that hill shown on the route profile on the Etape website.

I think it's probably a good idea to do some practicing or training as some of us like to call it For the next full ride I was thinking to split into 3 groups, there may be quite a number of us and if we invite the cycling club too that would provide a good ride for all. If the group you have chosen is too fast for you you can elect to drop back and let the one behind catch you up. Or even come with the faster group and just hang on as long as you can then drop back. 4 hour group 5 hour group 6 hour group Any thoughts?

Count me in! I can take a car and have room for 3 additional persons and their bikes if needed. Cheers. John

I would like to come too but am very slow. Are any of the 'more steady' cyclists doing this as well?

Went out for my first cycle tonight since I hurt my foot/ankle.......was ok - ish...... once clipped into cleats (on bad foot side) cannot get out....I have to stop and use both hands - whilst balancing the bike - to get cleat undone!! Anyone watching will have a good laugh. I am going to come along on Sunday 26th, however my 'support team' will be following with the car just in case I need assistance......or anyone else needs assistance. Etape number 1400 - start time 07:16

I'm planning on coming but current thoughts are to miss out the Loch Rannoch loop but do the rest of the route so approx 60 miles, more than happy to wait in a cafe (optomistic) or have you faster folk wait for a shorter time for me to rock up!
Is it the same meet time and place, 7:30 at Dewars?

Count me in too. I really fancy having a go at the whole route but am a bit a bit anxious that if I have a miserable day I will have 4 weeks to dread a repeat performance, so might follow Jerrys plan. I would appreciate a lift up and down the road. Etape number 3509 start time 7.44 !
