I was thinking this morning about what we should be doing over the next few weeks. We have two sessions before Stirling, so I was thinking about the following:
May 27th: 5K & 2.5K time trials June 3rd: light session followed by transition practice
Any thoughts anyone? I'm expecially keen to get opinions on the time trials.

I cannot make the time trial session this week as got a work night out but sounds like a great idea. Will check my rota re.transition practice the following week but sounds good.
Ps I was very pleased on Sunday as I finally cracked the sub 1hr 10k in Aberdeen in rather muggy conditions. 58'45" - my best PB by almost 15 mins!! Only taken 2 yrs of running! Not a major claim compared to others feats (etape and IM) but a triumph all the same.
Thanks Steve for your coaching and positive feedback on thursday- really made a huge difference (especially jazz hands!!)

Well done on the 10k Emma. Here comes the latest in a long line of excuses for not making Thursday track training...new job, kids music concert etc. This week I'm going to hear Mark Beaumont talk about his adventures on his bike. He who rode the Etape pus an extra 20 miles on a 30kg bike every day for months on end.... Its at Dundee University in the Tower extension at 7pm . Tickets are just 5 quid. If anyone else fancies playing hooky I can probably give them a lift through to Dundee. You need to book tickets in advance but there are some left. Sorry Coach. My lack of attendance will be reflected in my lack of performance at Stirling and you'll get to do that disappointed slow head shake thing. Cheers Annette

Steve, is the "light session then transition practice" still on for tomorrow? If so where? presume bike and trainers. anything else?

Yes, the session tonight will be a light running session - maybe half an hour - followed by transition practice.
Please bring: bike, helmet, nr. belt if you use one, cycle shoes if you use them, trainers, jacket/top if you plan on wearing one on the bike.
