During May, the Perth Road Runners are holding a series of 4 time trials on Thursday evenings. These consist of 2 laps of the North Inch (3 miles in total), starting from Bells Sports Centre. The idea of these trials is not to see who's fastest, but for each person to try to improve their own times over the 4 weeks. There's always a good turnout at these sessions, with runners of all abilities - from very speedy to happy plodders. You don't have to sign up for all 4, or be member of Perth RR - just turn up when you can. The sessions are being held on 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd May, and we meet at Bells Sports Centre at 6.30. Information can be found on the Perth RR website: www.perthroadrunners.co.uk/timetrials/tt2008.phpHappy running!

A few of us are meeting tomorrow (Saturday) at the Cherrybank Inn car park on the Glasgow Road at 08:30 for a 50 mile cycle. The route is Perth - Dunning - Auchterarder - Glendevon - Yets O Muchart - Milnathort - Glenfarg - Perth. A nice rolling route with one long'ish hill (nothing too serious).
Come along and join in. Cheers,
Alec.

My fun week is as follows:
Tuesday: Run from Bells at 6pm for 1 hour.
Wednesday: Cycle from 6pm - 7:45pm then a swim from 9pm - 10pm at PLP.
Thursday: Run from 6am - 7:30am.
Saturday: Bike / run brick session, 8am - 11am bike 45 miles then 11am - 12 noon run 8 miles.
Does anybody fancy going down to the Stirling University pool on either Friday night (8:00pm - 9:30pm) or Sunday lunchtime (11:00am - 2:00pm) for a some 50m training?
If you want to join me then leave a note on the forum.
Cheers,
Alec.

We're planning to go open water swimming in Loch Tay at the end of May, one evening during the week commencing 26th. Who is interested? So far we have Me, Ken, Elaine and Gary.
I'd prefer Monday, Tuesday or the Thursday.
Cheers, Alec.

I'd be keen for a swim in Loch Tay. It might be a tricky week workwise, but Thursday would be the most likely evening I could do. Fiona

I've heard back from the Lochore Meadows Outdoor Centre regarding open water swimming. They run a session on Wednesday nights at 6pm, price is £2 and covers the cost of the changing rooms, showers and safety boat cover.
I'm going to try and get down on the 21st. Anybody else interested?
Cheers, Alec.

Think Lochore would be better for midweek training, won't make the 21st, doing the Kinnoll Hill race, but would if it were to be a regular thing.

If anyone is ever in the Edinburgh area on a Friday ERC have OW swimming in Forth. Meet at Portobello pool for 6.30. £1.15 for changing/shower. I travel down every week - it fits into my training
