Hi Folks,
I've not been around much over the past year, but hopefully get back sometime soon.
I have one of the kid's bikes available for sale. Here are the details:-
Islabikes Beinn 20 child's bike
Suitable for children from approx age 5 up to age 8, depending on the size of the child. The colour is not gender specific, so this bike is suitable for boys and girls.
Specially designed for children with a light aluminium frame, lightweight components, easy to use and reach brakes and gears, and quick release wheels. This is the older version with 6 gear SRAM components, but the ratios are wide so even a young child can use this light bike to climb a decent hill. The tyres fitted to the bike are not "knobbly" full on mountain bike tyres, as we needed tyres that would work well on and off road. "Knobblies" are harder for kids to cycle on the road or hardpacked paths. The tyres are ideal for forrest tracks, canal paths etc and would only struggle in gloopy deep mud! We love these bikes so much, that our kids now have a Beinn 24 and Beinn 26.
These are £299 new. For the full specification on the latest version of the Beinn 20, visit the Islabikes website: www.islabikes.co.uk/bike_pages/beinn20.html
Why are Islabikes so much better than other heavy childrens bikes with useless suspension and lots of gears?: www.islabikes.co.uk/why_islabikes.html
Customisation: This bike is currently fitted with a bottle cage and stand. Also included will be a set of mudguards (not supplied by Islabikes) and a full set of unused reflectors (front/back/wheels).
Condition: this bike has been well used by my son and daughter both on and off road, but it is in full working order and has been cleaned and serviced. There are quite a few scuffs and scrapes on the pedals, brake levers, frame, quick release etc, but these are high quality bikes, they are designed to be used, and they can take it. No tears in the saddle, gears in full working order. Scuffs and scrapes on the frame have been "touched up " as and when required.
It's available on ebay, however, I would be happy to sell direct if required.
I'm looking for £180 for the bike (regularly go for £200+) on ebay.
If interested, i can be contacted on 07841 272028.
Cheers,John
