well, that's an elaborate excuse to avoid a once a week open-water swim at Lochore ..

A shame too as I was just getting into open water swimming. I am sure there will be plenty of opporunity where I will be working though.
Dont know if I can handle cycling in 40+ degrees C and 90% humidity though. Might buy a bike and trailer simply to carry water to keep myself hydrated!

All the best then Dave!
Can anyone help me fix my bike??? I have had repeated efforts fail from halfords and there "free" servicing for my newish machine. It's the gear changer thingy at the front cogs. Wheres best if to go if there is no mechanics in the forum?

Andy, It's a bit out of your way, but Leslie Bikes in, er, Leslie are a great bunch of guys and will sort you out if no-one else from here can help. You could also look here if you fancy having a go yourself

Andy, what's it doing? and is it a single or a triple? If you can get it too me I can have a lok for you.
Sounds interesting Dave, but would it not have been better to just not get married than flee the country?

Andy.
Take the bike down to Richards Cycles in George Street in Perth. I get my bike serviced there. They'll sort it out for you.
Cheers,
Alec.

Dave.
All the best with the new job. Good idea going abroad before you have kids.
If you can, try and keep in touch via the forum. If you enter any triathlons when you are out there send us some pictures.
Cheers mate.
Alec.

I'm planning to go cycling on Saturday morning at 10:15, meeting behind the Tractor Garage at West Huntingtower. The route will roughly follow Route 5 (i.e. Crieff - Comrie - over the hill to Braco - Auchterarder - Dunning - Bridge of Earn - Perth). Its approx 60 miles.
Anybody interested?
Cheers, Alec.

Does anyone fancy a practice swim at Loch Tay before 16 August? Diana says it's freezing! Sheila

Last week Lochore was a 'soupy' 21 degrees. Unreal!
Loch Tay is lovely and clean, but very cold. Enjoy!
