Spurred on by Dek, I've made enquiries and open water swimming has now already started at the "Meedies". Wednesday evenings as before.
So, look out your wetsuits, dig out your brightly coloured swimming caps, and polish your knuckledusters for the post-swim drink at the Red Goth. Well, maybe not the last one.
Apparently there is a new sheriff in town, and the pre-swim briefing is more rigorous than before, so swimmers need to be there at 6:00 for a 6:30 - 7:30 swim.
Looking forward to it. ;D

I'll be going down on Wed night. Keep an eye on the forum cos there will probably be a few of us. We usually meet at the Cherrybank Inn car park and decide cars from there.
Are you happy with kit you'll need?

I'll be getting my seal like blubbery belly down there to but................... would any one cart me and my bike down there and leave me to cycle home? does anyone else fancy this sort of multi event training?

I'm afraid I'm having to call off OW tonight.
Sounds like you have all the kit you need. I was advised to wear 2 swim caps for the cold but some of the guys just wear 1. There are kids do it in speedos so 1 should be fine.
